A 19th century carved walnut bracket clock and associated bracket, case carved with representations of entwined vine leaves and grapes, surmounted by a sleeping putto, case on four carved paw feet, with an eight- day five-pillar twin fusee movement, recoil anchor escapement striking the hours on a bell, rectangular movement plates with curved shoulders and decorative plate work, movement back plate and dial inscribed “ Patent Detached Lever, Griffiths , London”, nine-inch formerly silvered brass dial and steel moon hands, with engraved Roman numerals and minute markers, flat glass within a spun brass bezel and silvered sight ring, with an old trade label for G Spiegelhalter, 6 The Mount, Whitechapel Road, London.
